This is Dual USB Output Module can be directly installed on 9V/12V/24V battery to charge a device at 5V DC 3A.
The module has two USB outputs that provide a stable 5V DC output on both channels simultaneously.
Caution Note:
The input voltage should not exceed 24V, otherwise, the chip will be damaged.
Input positive and negative poles cannot be reversed, otherwise, the chip will be damaged.
By inspection I can see the module uses a MP15830N. There is no heatsink employed.
MP15830 is a primary-side regulator that provides accurate constant voltage (CV)
regulation without opto-coupler. It supports Buck, Buck-Boost, Boost and Flyback
topologies. It has an integrated 500V MOSFET to simplify the structure and reduce
costs. These features make it an ideal regulator for off-line low power applications,
such as home appliances and standby power. MP15830 is a green-mode operation
regulator. Both the peak current and switching frequency decrease as the load
decreases. This feature provides excellent efficiency at light load, thus
improving the overall average efficiency. MP15830 features various protections,
including thermal shutdown (TSD), VCC under-voltage lockout (UVLO), overload
protection (OLP), short-circuit protection (SCP), and open loop protection.
