The mini-DIN connectors are a family of multi-pin electrical connectors used in
a variety of applications. Mini-DIN is similar to the larger, older DIN
connector. Both are standards of the Deutsches Institut für Normung, the
German standards body.
The min DIN connector employed by Yaesu on the DR-1X is NON Standard.
A standard 10 can be modified as detailed below. I have not done this procedure myself.
The pin are very close so it is difficult to solder. Another alternative is to use
Yaesu CT-174 Data Cable with Mini-DIN 10 pin connector at both ends. This cable is an
accessories for the WIRES-X HRI-200 Interface.
