Modifying the Yaesu DR1 Repeater for use on Allstar

Note this Link describes an alternative method to wiring the accessory interfaces on the DR-1X rear panel. Some may find the too intrusive and prefer to use the interface plug as iscussed below. The article makes several good points about adapting the DR-1X for use with AllStarLink.
Also note,that the DR-1X must be fixed in FM (analog) mode both in and out. So that's no RF digital audio is heard on Allstar.

ACC Interface Connector - 10 Pin Mini DIN

The mini-DIN connectors are a family of multi-pin electrical connectors used in a variety of applications. Mini-DIN is similar to the larger, older DIN connector. Both are standards of the Deutsches Institut für Normung, the German standards body.

The min DIN connector employed by Yaesu on the DR-1X is NON Standard. A standard 10 can be modified as detailed below. I have not done this procedure myself.

The pin are very close so it is difficult to solder. Another alternative is to use Yaesu CT-174 Data Cable with Mini-DIN 10 pin connector at both ends. This cable is an accessories for the WIRES-X HRI-200 Interface.
